Celebrate the Service to the Arts…

Join us at 6:00pm on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 21st at WILLIAMS ON THE LAKE as we celebrate the accomplishments of those who have shown a commitment to enriching our community through the arts. The evening’s highlight will be the SERVICE TO THE ARTS Awards presentation to individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the arts in Medina County. This year’s nominees are Medina County Show Biz Company, musician John Husbands, educator Chauncey Ritondaro, and MCAC’s own Linda Loveless. Attendees will enjoy an open bar and dinner while listening to musical performances by John Husbands, Medina Chorus, and Julia Taylor. Guests will also have the opportunity to view a pop-up gallery of artwork by local artists while being surrounded by picturesque scenery and views of the Lake. Reservations: $60 each (limited seats available) Get your ticket(s) here by February 14th. If you cannot attend or would like to make a donation, please select the donation option.

The Medina County Arts Council (MCAC) will be awarding five (5) one-time scholarships to Medina County graduating seniors in the year 2024. There will be a total of $4,000 awarded, three in the amount of $1,000 each and two in the amount of $500 each. Funds are to be used toward tuition, books, or other school supplies. Grants to Medina County Organizations MCAC will award a total of $5,000 to Medina County 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations with an arts-centered focus or a not-for-profit educational, religious, or recovery institution with a specific arts related project. Appropriate requests include financial support for general operating expenses, or for special projects such as guest artists’ fees, play royalties, publicity, etc. The funds must be used within the calendar year awarded (Jan. 1-Dec.31, 2024)

Community Window Gallery…

MCAC has collaborated with the Stephenson Family, turning the front windows of the historic Medina Hardware Store into a vibrant Window Art Gallery for the community. This exciting venture aims to celebrate and promote local artistic talent by providing a unique platform for them to showcase their work. Each month, the Window Art Gallery will feature a diverse selection of paintings, photography, sculptures, and other forms of art that align with pre-determined monthly themes. This initiative promises to bring a dynamic artistic flair to the heart of Medina. Submit entry or learn more HERE

MCAC’s 41st Annual Arts Week will take place July 14th through 21st. The main purpose of Arts Week is to provide arts related activities including arts programs at no or low cost - making the arts accessible for children, adults, and families. The Outreach Committee is busy planning the Celebration of the Arts event on Thursday, July 18 and would like to include all arts organizations, students from art programs and studios, and performers and artists from around the county to join us. Please send us an email at MedinaCoArtsCouncil@gmail.com if you would like to participate in the Celebration of the Arts or have an arts related activity/program you would like to be added to the Arts Week lineup. Want to help out with events/activities planning, preparation, and execution? We are always looking for volunteers. Lastly, we are seeking Arts Week event sponsors. The Arts Roundtable connects individual artists, arts organizations, arts and creative businesses, and educators to the resources they need to thrive such as interactive presentations, special programming, information sharing, and networking.
