Dear Medina County Arts Council Friends,

First, I want to thank you for supporting the arts in Medina County. Your generosity helps to make a difference for many budding artists and arts organizations over the years. And, your engagement with local arts professionals and your attendance at local arts events has helped to improve our quality of life in Medina County. Because of support like yours, the Medina County Arts Council has had an amazing year so far! Here are some highlights of what we’ve accomplished in 2022:

• Held the 39th Annual Medina County Arts Week from July 9-17 across nine cities!

• Conducted Arts Camp & Kids Fest from July 10-13 featuring dance, theatre arts, and visual arts

• Awarded over $5,000 in grants to non-profit arts organizations in Medina County

• Awarded $3,000 in scholarships to four high school students in Medina County

• Awarded nearly $1,600 in grants to arts teachers for student arts programs in Medina County

• Awarded ribbons to exceptional visual arts students during the Medina County Student Art Show

• Formed the Artists Roundtable to support artists and arts organizations in Medina County

• Shared and promoted local arts and arts organizations events and activities in Medina County

This month, we will host the next Arts Roundtable to discuss the issues and needs of artists and arts organizations across the county. This fall, we will sponsor another round of arts teacher grants for the 2022-23 school year and artists workshops to students. We will host our first Chocolate Walk fundraiser in Medina on Sweetest Day! And, we will again present the annual Deck the House Holiday Lights Challenge during the holidays.
