Arts Views is a monthly e-newsletter for Medina County Arts Council friends and Medina County residents to promote and build community excellence through the arts.

Arts Week Highlights

In spite of the rain, storms, and heat, Medina County Arts Council’s 40th Annual Arts Week was again, a success. Thank you to our participants, volunteers and guests for celebrating the Arts in Medina County.

MCAC would also like to give a special recognition to Medina County Park District, Planet Joy Studio, Integrated Community Solutions, KNA Designs, and Medina County Juvenile Detention Center for their partnership in the Art in Nature project and to Buehler's Fresh Foods for donating a cake to help us celebrate our 40th birthday.

Art in Nature: free pop up art classes creating Watercolor Postcards, Paper Pinwheels, and Tie Dye Bandanas.

Hearts For Music digital music session at Medina Library: Library patrons made beautiful music on tablets with the help of director Kitrael Chin. Hearts for Music, Inc. is a non-profit digital orchestra that provides opportunities for children and/or adults with a variety of special needs.

Friday Concert: Music That Shaped America featuring Medina Community Band and Medina Chorus at the Medina Square Gazebo.

Community Mural: The design and assembly was created by Brunswick City Schools art teacher, Erin Kraly. There are a total of 216 4"X4" canvases individually painted by those who attended the Celebration of the Arts - kids and adults.

Once the canvases were ready, Erin assembled them to form the MCAC logo surrounded by different art forms - painting, theater, sewing, dance. The Community Mural will be traveling throughout the County for all to enjoy.

Save the Dates: Guides Needed

A Walk with the Spirits will be held September 7th through the 1oth.
We are currently seeking volunteers to guide the walks. Please email us at medinacoartscouncil@gmail.com if you are able to volunteer.

The Walk is hosted by Medina County Show Biz, Medina County Historical Society and the Medina County Arts Council.

September Roundtable

Support the Arts in Medina County

Gather with us for an enchanted evening out while giving to the Arts in Medina County.

Enjoy unique dining experiences with your friends or family in the homes of Medina County Arts supporters. Proceeds support Medina County Arts Council programs like arts grants, scholarships, Arts Week, and special arts programming for the children.

Enjoy this delicious meal relaxing by the lake at the home of Paul and Sue Becks, owner of Footsteps World Travel.

Arts in Education

The Medina County Arts Council is awarding grants for art-related projects in Medina County Schools/Organizations. Total available funds for arts education grants this year is $4,500, and we will try to fund as many projects as possible within this budget.

Application Deadline is September 1st, 2023
