43 rd Annual Arts Week

The Medina County Arts Council (MCAC) is proud to announce the return of its 43rd Annual Arts Week sponsored by Chelsea Farmer, Realtor - The Barbara Wilson Team/Howard Hanna and Davis Parks School of Arts, taking place throughout Medina County July 12th –19th . This beloved community tradition brings together artists, performers, organizations, and businesses for a vibrant, weeklong celebration of the arts across Medina County.

Featuring dozens of events throughout the week , Arts Week highlights the depth and diversity of the local creative community. From live music and theater performances to hands-on workshops, art walks, and family-friendly activities, there is something for all ages and interests.

With events happening daily across Medina County, attendees are encouraged to explore the full Arts Week schedule, discover new experiences, and support local artists and organizations.

A centerpiece of the week is MCAC’s “Day of Celebrating the Arts” on Tuesday, July 14th, held on Medina Square from 12–4 PM . This signature event features art exhibits, live performances, and interactive, hands-on activities designed to inspire creativity for all ages. The day continues with performances at 3:10, 5pm and 7pm from Sarah’s Violin Studio students.

GrubbCo food truck will also be onsite serving breakfast and brunch items with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Give Back During Arts Week

2026 Scholarship Recipients

Thanks to contributions from the Nancy Sprowls Memorial Fund, Medina County Arts Council (MCAC) was able to award nine $500 scholarships (totaling $4,500) to Medina County graduating seniors in 2026. This scholarship honors dedication, passion, and excellence in the arts—helping students continue their creative journey.

The following students were selected to be a recipient of the Nancy Sprowls MCAC Student Scholarship:

• Abigail  Demczyk (Black River HS) -  Music Education at the University of Akron

• Caelyn  Holbert (Brunswick HS) - Music Education at Bowling Green State University

• Devlin Synkowski (Brunswick HS) - Music Industry at Tiffin University, Baldwin Wallace University, Ohio University, or Kent State

• Isaac Woofter (Buckeye HS) - Film & Business at Ohio University

• Walker Smith (Cloverleaf HS) - Music Education at Ohio Northern University

• Katherine Conley (Medina HS) - Arts Education at University of Akron

• Alina Golieva (Medina HS) - Visual Communication Design at Cuyahoga Community Collage

• Reese Goldmeier (Medina HS) - Acting and Performance at Point Park University

• Carissa Napier (Wadsworth HS) - Media Production at Bowling Green State University

Newsletter & Email communications: MCAC will be converting to Zeffy for our ArtsViews monthly newsletter and email communications. We will also begin to transition to Zeffy for online registrations and sign up forms.
