United Church of Christ Congregational, 217 E. Liberty St. Near Public Square in Medina The Medina County Arts Council is proud to announce its first annual Arts Camp for kids in Medina near the Square. The purpose of this camp is to give children an exposure to the arts and experience the joy that creativity and self-expression can bring. It will include visual art, dance and theater skills and will group children by grades (1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th). Writers in Residence is looking to recruit adult mentors for their recently launched Reentry Mentorship Initiative which will assist youth with their re-entry into society after incarceration.
Writers in Residence is a nonprofit that teaches creative writing to incarcerated youth. They have partnered with schools and justice systems across the state of Ohio, including the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center to empower their voices and assist in their re-entry into their home communities.

Kelly Butler started her career in public accounting, auditing non-profit organizations. She retired three years ago as CFO of a local country club. Kelly and her husband moved to Granger Township 24 years ago and enjoy the diversity of arts that Medina County has to offer. In the past, Kelly has served as Treasurer for the Canton Ballet and as an advisor for Junior Achievement. See all Trustees here.
