Welcome to the Medina County Arts Council

Who are we?

In the fall of 1982, a committee of Medina County residents laid the groundwork for a county-wide arts council that would serve as an umbrella organization to provide information and support for the arts organizations in the county. It is governed by a Board of Trustees elected by the membership. These trustees include artists, business people, and individuals committed to promoting the arts in Medina County.

What do we do?

We publish a quarterly newsletter and arts calendar, County Arts Views, and a yearly arts calendar mailed to members and community leaders.
We co-sponsor the "Spirit Walks" project in cooperation with historical societies and theatre companies in Medina, Brunswick, and Wadsworth.
We promote the annual July Summer Arts Festival and related activities including the chalk art project, noon performances for children, and evening mini-concerts.
We support arts activities and non-profit arts organizations by giving financial grants to organizations promoting the arts.
We maintain contact in Ohio Citizens for the Arts and provide a link to the Ohio Arts Council for county organizations.
