Medina County Arts Council is seeking community feedback on ideas for fulfilling its mission of advocating for, supporting and nurturing the arts in Medina County. In particular, the board wants to focus on the children in the county and work to enhance their experiences in and appreciation for all forms of arts.

Please complete the attached survey of only five questions and share your thoughts which will help us develop our strategies. It doesn’t matter if you have children or not, our goal is to create a community that thrives with a strong arts culture.

As President and Founder of Creative Show Promotions LLC, Linda has been organizing and promoting professional long-running quality craft shows and large events for over 25 years. The current offerings include Medina County Home & Garden Show and An Affair on the Square Craft Fest & Vintage Fair.

The promotion and marketing of various companies has also been a big part of Linda’s career experience, working in marketing and PR for National City Bank, Old Phoenix Bank and Mapleside Farms.

Linda has been active in the community serving on the boards and in leadership responsibilities for Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund, Medina City Schools Foundation, Medina County Arts Council, 100+ Women Who Care, Medina County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and YWCA of Medina County.

Linda has been a resident of Medina for over 35 years. She has two married sons and three very special grand children. Read about our Trustees.

Farewell to Vicki Sheridan

We regretfully accepted the resignation of Vicki Sheridan (pictured in center with Donna Mittler, left, and Paulette Grubb) as an MCAC Trustee. Vicki is a resident of Wadsworth and had served on our board for four years. She was actively involved in our mural program at the Visitation Center for the Domestic Relations Court, helped out with Arts Week in Wadsworth, and served on the Summer Soiree Committee. The MCAC Board thanks Vicki for her service and wishes her the best!

Open Positions on MCAC Board

Medina County Arts Council will need to fill two Trustee positions that are being vacated over the next couple of months. If you are community-minded and have an interest in the arts, we would love to hear from you. In particular, we are interested in someone who has a basic knowledge of financial reporting and someone that represents the Valley City or Wadsworth areas. But we welcome all interested citizens of Medina County.

ORMACO’s New Home

The Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) is pleased to announce its new home “ORMACO HeARTland,“ at 8187 Camp Road, Homerville, OH 44235. Enjoy the “Fall Open House” on Sunday, October 18 from 2-4 pm featuring the Homerville All-String Band as they perform bluegrass, country and folk favorites on the back deck. Bring your lawn chairs and stroll around the pond and grounds. Learn what’s in store for ORMACO as it enters its second decade. This is a free, socially distanced event, but donations are welcomed.
