MCAC Now Accepting 2020 Grant ApplicationsScope expanded to include schools, churches and recovery organizationsThe Medina County Arts Council invites local organizations with an arts-centered focus or project to apply for grant funding to be awarded in 2020. To be eligible, applicant organizations must have 501(c)(3) status or be a not-for-profit organization located in Medina County and have a dedicated mission statement or special project with an arts focus. The deadline is Feb. 29, 2020. This year, MCAC has expanded the applicant eligibility requirements for its grant awards to include schools, churches and recovery organizations, along with entities that are traditionally arts focused. Grant application submissions must include information about the purpose for which the grant is requested, the annual budget of the group or the cost of the art-related project and list other participants in the project(s) and their contributions, if applicable. Last year’s 2019 grant recipients included Medina Chorus, ORMACO, Wadsworth Community Band and Wadsworth Community Radio. If selected, 2020 grant recipients will be required to send a representative to MCAC’s Annual Meeting, scheduled for Feb. 2021, to briefly present a report on how their grant was used to support the arts in Medina County.
