Save the Dates

2022 MCAC Arts Organization Grants applications will be open and accepted from Feb 1 to Mar. 31, 2022. Applicants will be informed of awards by May 1.

2022 MCAC Student Scholarships applications for Medina Co. High School Seniors will be open and accepted from Feb 1 to Mar. 31, 2022. Applicants will be informed of awards by May 1.

The Medina County Arts Council Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 5 pm at the Medina Co. District Library in the 1904 Room. The Trustee meeting will follow.

A Year in Review

December: Deck the House! Congratulations to Brian Boyes of Medina, winner of the 2021 "Deck the House Challenge!” Brian and his family was presented with the coveted light bulb trophy, tickets to Castle Noel, and gift card. Participants cast over 1,200 votes with over 10,000 visits to view the 25 homeowner entries!

September: Harvest for the Arts At our annual gala, Grace Zay was honored with the Lifetime Service Award. Ron Stollar, Superintendent of the Medina Co. Juvenile Detention Center received the Community Engagement Award, Jim Gilder received the Arts Education Award, and Jill Morton received the Volunteer Award.

July: Arts Week Festival The Medina County Arts Council presented the 38th Annual Arts Week Festival from July 12-16, 2021 showcasing performances and arts activities for kids and adults presented by local artists and arts organizations from across the county.

New Trustee We welcomed Barbara Ortiz to the MCAC Board of Trustees. Barb retired after 30 years of working for the City of Brunswick. She was one of the founding members of Brunswick Art Works and served on its Board throughout its existence.
